About Stefanie Minnaar
Dear parent
I am a Pastoral Narrative Therapist that specializes in parent-child relationships and the neuroscience of parenting.
I believe if we want to make the world a better place, we must start with parents raising emotional healthy children.
Parenting is about your relationship with your child.
A relationship where your child feels seen, safe & soothed = secure attachment.
(Secure attachment is shaped by the non-verbal communication between a parent and child).
When a child has a secure attachment with at least one adult (does not need to be a parent) who is consistently, and predictably showing up for the child, the child’s brain is in an optimal state for learning and exploring the world.
What we do today has an enormous impact on future generations.
TOOLS for parents:
"Giving your teenager wings" ebook
You can not 'teach' responsibility. One can only learn responsibility when you have the FREEDOM to make your own decisions, and then to experience the consequences- good or bad.
This ebook will give you practical guidelines on how to give more FREEDOM to your teenager.
